reading habits but also helps students develop time management skills.

Following the completion of the book, students engage in vibrant discussions facilitated by trained tutors. They share their thoughts, insights, and opinions on the book, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.

Emotional Intelligence: Books help children understand emotions, empathy, and social interactions.

In addition to discussions, the book club offers various creative activities such as writing book reviews, drawing comic strips depicting key plot points, and even writing letters to authors expressing appreciation for their work. These activities not only enhance writing skills but also provide students with avenues for self-expression and creativity.

Cognitive Development: Books stimulate imagination, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

The HCWA Book Club serves multiple purposes beyond literary enrichment. It aims to boost students’ confidence by providing a supportive environment for expressing their ideas and opinions. Furthermore, the club promotes collaborative learning and shared responsibility, essential skills for success in secondary school and adulthood.

Academic Success: Regular reading enhances academic performance across all subjects.

By expanding students’ literary horizons and instilling a deeper appreciation for literature, the HCWA Book Club seeks to make their future experiences with English literature more enjoyable and fulfilling. It also lays the foundation for lifelong learning and critical thinking skills.
